Support for Amazon Kindle Fire is only available with our 'Type 2' DNS servers, they only support UK sites and require an Amazon UK account.
Retrieve the Type 2 DNS servers from the below list, you will need these later.
Only the Type 2 DNS servers have Amazon Instant UK/Kindle Fire support.
Retrieve your VPN username and password, if you are a new member this is contained in the StreamVia Account Information email you received after ordering.
If your device is not already connected to your network, please connect it now. Make sure you have internet access, albeit geo-blocked internet access.
Go to Home
Swipe down from the top to reveal the WiFi Icon (wireless), then tap on the Wireless icon
On the next screen, tap on Wi-Fi
Tap and hold on your wifi network name, then select Advanced Settings
Now check the box Show Advanced Settings, tap the IP Settings drop-down and change DHCP to Static.
With IP settings set to Static, scroll down and change DNS 1 and DNS 2 entries to the 'Type 2' DNS servers you retrieved in Step 1 of this guide.
Use the below link to sign in to SmartStream using your VPN username and password, this will activate SmartStream for your current broadband IP address. It is recommended you do this from a computer.
Should your broadband connection IP address change (if your router restarts or your ISP resets your connection) you will need to repeat this step of signing in, to update our systems.
