If you have recently upgraded OSX and are experiencing problems, such as the program locking up or not functioning correctly, please complete the below steps to fully remove Tunnelblick followed by installing an upgraded version.


Step 1
Close any running version of Tunnelblick, so it disappears from the top right


Step 2
Delete Tunnelblick from your Applications folder


Step 3
Select Finder


Step 4
Select Go, along the top


Step 5
Go to Folder


Step 6
Paste in the below, exactly as it is, i.e including the squiggle at the front

~/Library/Application Support/


Step 7
Delete the Tunnelblick folder in the above


Step 8
Select Finder again


Step 9
Select Go, along the top


Step 10
Go to Folder


Step 11
Paste in the below, exactly as it is, this is different from the path we entered above

/Library/Application Support/


Step 12
Delete the Tunnelblick folder in the above


Step 13
Empty trash


Step 14
